Grade 4 Students are encouraged to develop a love for learning that will stay with them throughout their lives. Our experienced teacher's encourage enhanced curriculum and promote critical thinking, problem solving and self-management skills. French is also introduced in grade 4. Grade 5 Our challenging Ontario Curriculum is modified for this grade level with emphasis on independent learning and research skills. We focus on expanding the basics by challenging the children with research, note taking, public speaking, presentation skills and formal tests and examinations. This accelerated program prepares them for the challenges of the rotary system that begins in the intermediate division. Grade 6 At Khalsa School, the all-inclusive curriculum covers all the requirements of the Ontario curriculum at an enriched level. Students are prepared rigorously for the EQAO testing in language, art and mathematics. Small class sized allows for individual attention and students become confident, well roomed academic achievers with a high level of esteem for themselves and their capabilities.
